Our Scorecard: Holding Elected Officials Accountable

Holding elected officials accountable is what the Scorecard is all about!

Why We Have A Scorecard
As an organization whose mission is to advocate for business and economic development, the Chamber has a keen interest in knowing what is happening in government. But it goes deeper. The Chamber is made up of citizens who live and work in the area. This is home; our members and the business community  want to know how their elected officials voted and where they stand on issues that affect us all.

We publish our scorecard as a public service, and we are privileged and proud to play a role in the democratic process. Our scorecard objectively and openly shows how public officials voted so the community can understand their positions and make informed voting choices.

Our Scorecard
Holding elected officials accountable is what the Scorecard is all about!

The Chamber in cooperation with the WEST VALLEY CHAMBERS OF COMMERCE ALLIANCE  takes positions on policy issues and then scores elected officials based on their voting record.

The Chamber Alliance identifies issues based on an approved advocacy agenda.  Voting records are then tracked.

After the votes have been cast, the Chamber publicizes how the officials voted.

Only incumbents with a Scorecard rankings over 90% are considered when making
candidate endorsements.
