Project Summary:

What’s Being Proposed? The BNSF Logistics Park Phoenix (LPP) is a proposed $3.2 billion master-planned freight hub that would be built on a 4,320-acre site in unincorporated northwest Maricopa County, adjacent to the existing BNSF rail line and close to U.S. Route 60 near Wittmann. Often referred to locally as the “bimodal project,” the facility is designed to transfer freight between rail and truck, making it a key logistics center for regional and national supply chains. This kind of infrastructure is intended to improve freight efficiency, reduce long-haul trucking congestion, and support economic growth through job creation and business development.
